Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is launched in India. It sits on top of Galaxy S8 smartphones and it’s is a successor for the Galaxy Note 7.
Galaxy Note 8 is priced at Rs. 67,900, it is the latest flagship phone in the Note series and it comes with a dual camera setup and the popular S-Pen.
This will be sold as an Amazon exclusive smartphone. Users can also buy the Mobile from Samsung’s own website. Samsung has already opened pre-registrations for the Galaxy Note 8.

The Galaxy Note 8 features a large 6.3-inch AMOLED Infinity Display and it has almost no bezels. The phone is taller with 18:5:9 aspect ratio and comes with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels. The display supports force touch in its bottom area along with HDR10.
The phone has 6GB of RAM with three variants in storage (64GB, 128GB, 256GB). In India it is launched in 64GB variant with expandable storage support upto 256GB.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is powered by Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC Octa-core 10nm processor clocked at upto 2.3Ghz.
In terms of camera, the Galaxy mobile contains dual rear cameras (12MP and 12MP) with f/1.7 aperture lens, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and supported by Dual Pixel Technology.
It is backed up by a 3300mAh battery with fast charge and wireless charge support.
The device is IP68 water and dust proof.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE (LTE Cat. 16), dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, MST, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C. Sensors on board the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, iris sensor, proximity sensor, and RGB light sensor.
At the launch HC Long, President and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia, said: “This time we have made the Galaxy Note 8 bigger and better and added ‘Make for India’ innovations.”
While Samsung has tough competition when it comes to premium flagship devices, it should be noted that the brand has a very strong hold in the Indian market. With a 43 percent share (according to GFK market research), Samsung enjoys the topmost position in terms of market share in India.
Early buyers will get a free screen replacement warranty as well as a wireless charger. The first phones will come on September 21.
